We offer our skills, experience and time through volunteering and leadership roles in several not-for-profit organisations and our whole team is supported in volunteering and philanthropic donations.

Our areas of focus, in no order, include:

First Nations Partnerships: Supporting reconciliation and self-determination for First Nations and Torres Strait Islander people.

Health & Mental Health: Supporting organisations that champion the physical and mental health of our communities.

Community, Arts & Culture: Supporting the communities that surround our projects by nurturing relationships with organisations that create vibrant spaces and enrich arts and culture.

Environment: Helping to preserve Western Australian land through rehabilitation, conservation, native planting and protection of native species.

Social Disadvantage: Supporting the provision of social housing and other services to disadvantaged members of the community.

Fremantle Foundation

The Fremantle Foundation was established as a community foundation in 2010. It provides leadership on key community issues and helps individuals, families, businesses and groups establish charitable funds to support causes they care about.

Hesperia has started a Staff Giving Fund through the Fremantle Foundation, to allow our staff to collaborate on philanthropic endeavours. The fund will donate to multiple charities that fall within our key focus areas, as voted by staff members who participate in Hesperia’s workplace giving program.

Youth Focus

Youth Focus delivers frontline mental health services and education programs for young people.

We are proud to be a long-term supporter and partner of Youth Focus. For the past five years, Hesperia has sponsored and entered a team into the annual Hawaiian Ride for Youth, cycling 700km from Albany to Perth to support Youth Focus and its mental health services, with the past three years having our own staff participate as riders.

In addition to raising vital funds for youth mental health services, cyclists also visit schools throughout Western Australia’s South-West, Great Southern and Wheatbelt regions during the event. Alongside other riders, they educate students on issues of youth suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm.
