2023 Rottnest Channel Swim

Months of preparation and training culminated on the weekend, with three Hesperia teams successfully completing the 19.7-kilometre Rottnest Channel Swim. Early on Saturday morning, thousands of participants swam in the 33rd annual event from Cottesloe Beach to Rottnest Island.

Christie Savage, Penny Grant, Jamie Fini and Grainne Byrne took part for the first time with Hesperia, while Ian Smyth, Corey Scidone, Harry Seward, Rob Tucker, Jack Durward and Jack Varney returned for their second swim.

The teams raised funds for three charities – Blood Cancer Research WA, Ocean Heroes and Zero2hero, which were selected by employees. Hesperia will be matching all staff donations made to the fundraising pages.

The teams surpassed their initial fundraising goal of $5,000 for each charity, raising an incredible total of $27,534
