Hesperia Launches First Master Planned Community
November 17, 2021
Hesperia is bringing fresh perspective to creating master planned communities and will be releasing its first residential land release, Rivermark, in May 2022.
The Viveash site has a diverse Aboriginal, colonial and local heritage and has most recently housed the historic Midland Brick brickworks. The masterplanned communities created by Hesperia will continue our tradition of revitalising underutilised spaces to release their potential, with Rivermark starting the next chapter for this unique parcel of land on the banks of the Swan River.
Hesperia Managing Director Ben Lisle is positive about the future of the residential land portfolio, which is championed by Development Director Jo Bennett. Jo brings a diverse range of experience across complex planning processes, including playing a lead role in the delivery of the State Buildings redevelopment.
“With Jo at the helm, Hesperia has a highly talented and experienced team behind our masterplanned communities. Furthering Hesperia’s commitment to deliver places of enduring value, we are excited to continue creating progressive projects for our evolving State,” Mr Lisle said.
“Hesperia’s master planned communities will be leading estates that will be developed with a people-first approach and best-practice sustainability at the heart.”
Rivermark embodies the active outdoor lifestyle Perth is known for. Situated on a quiet and picturesque portion of the river, the community lies on the foreshore and is framed with large river gums and native plants.
Jo commented that Rivermark is a careful study in blending the past, present and future.
“It is important to create an enduring sense of legacy – to embrace the layers of history and culture, while recognising the area’s potential and have a vision for the future stories that will be written by new residents,” she said.
“Rivermark offers the opportunity to be part of the next chapter: the creation of an exciting new community within an established suburb. It’s a rare opportunity which we are very excited to deliver. This is the first community Hesperia will be creating, with a strong pipeline of unique projects to come.”
With Viveash’s close proximity to the Perth, Rivermark is easily accessible via major thoroughfares including Great Eastern Highway, Reid Highway and Guildford Road, and public transport links including the new Midland train station. Popular lifestyle destinations including The Swan Valley, Guildford and Bayswater are just a short drive away, offering easy access to a range of cafes, boutiques, restaurants, wineries, shopping centres and leisure activities.
The first of a series of staged releases at Rivermark will commence in early 2022, offering a range of lot sizes to suit the needs of varying buyers, including larger blocks that allow for a generously sized home and outdoor play areas.
With established shopping precincts and desirable schools close by, Rivermark offers a level of ease and family convenience that is rare in many new land release projects in other areas of Perth.
Rivermark will incorporate a range of design principles aligned with Hesperia’s enduring approach to sustainable development. A renewable focus throughout the project will be reinforced by its EnviroDevelopment 6 Leaf accreditation – an independent development assessment scheme that awards certification to projects that achieve outstanding performance across elements including ecosystems, materials, water and community. The estate has also been endorsed by Water Corporation as a Gold Water Wise Development, achieving great outcomes in water efficiency and natural storm water management.
Hesperia is also a signatory to the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment. All of our projects, including Rivermark, are committed to achieving Net Zero Carbon through use of low carbon and recycled materials, efficient construction methods and offsetting of any remaining carbon emissions through projects that have excellent co-benefits such as revegetation.
Stage 1 at Rivermark will launch in early 2022. You can read more about the project here .
